My research focuses largely on Twentieth Century Transatlantic literature and the place of the urban within the works of this time period. Focusing on world cities such as New York, London, and Paris (as well as other minor metropolitan centers like Prague and Paterson, New Jersey) my research broadly attempts to combine the field of literary studies with the social sciences in an effort to bridge the gap between readings of literary texts and discussions in urban studies, geography, city planning, sociology, and architecture in a way that illuminates both fields while simultaneously emphasizes interdisciplinary connections.
